1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Campus Bestie! By accessing or using the Campus Bestie website, mobile application, or any other related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("ToS") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Services.

2. The Services

Campus Bestie is a platform intended to serve the global student community by facilitating:

• Intra- and Inter-University E-commerce: Allowing students to buy and sell goods and services to each other.
• Campus Bestie Products & Services: Including, but not limited to, the Drop Squad, GiftHub, UniHype Lounge Hangouts, Cambes Gist, and Campus Merch.
• Content Sharing: Providing a space for users to share academic files, posts, and community reviews.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access most features, you must register for an account using your full name, email, and password. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and keep this information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Paid Services, Subscriptions, and Cambes Tickets

• Premium Features: We may offer paid services, premium features, and subscriptions. These are governed by the terms specified at the point of purchase.
• Cambes Access Tickets: Access to discounts and special priorities may require the purchase of a "Cambes Ticket."

5. Refund and Return Policy

This policy applies to direct purchases from Campus Bestie (e.g., subscriptions, Cambes Tickets, Campus Merch). For student-to-student sales, the refund/return policy is determined by the individual seller, but Campus Bestie may offer mediation under separate buyer protection guidelines.

• Service Cancellation: A full refund will be provided if a paid service or subscription is cancelled within two (2) days of the initial purchase. No refunds will be issued after this 2-day window.
• Damaged Goods: If you receive a package from Campus Bestie and find items are lost or damaged in transit, you may apply for a full refund for those specific items. Claims must be submitted within 2 days of delivery with photographic evidence.

6. User Content and Conduct

A. Permitted Content

Users may post text, comments, photos, academic files/notes, reviews, and links. By posting content, you grant Campus Bestie a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, reproduce, and display that content on the platform.

B. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You agree not to post, upload, or share any content that falls under the following categories:

• Hate Speech: Content that promotes or encourages discrimination, violence, or disparagement against groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, etc.
• Harassment: Content or conduct intended to harass, bully, or intimidate others.
• Illegal Content: Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, or promotes illegal acts.
• Academic Dishonesty: Content that promotes, facilitates, or encourages cheating, plagiarism, or academic misconduct. Users are responsible for ensuring that all shared academic files/notes comply with their university's academic integrity policies.

C. Content Moderation

Campus Bestie reviews reported content for violations of these ToS. We reserve the right to remove any content, suspend, or terminate user accounts that violate this Section 6, with or without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality (including, but not limited to, all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) that are not user-submitted are owned by Campus Bestie, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• "As Is": The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Campus Bestie disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
• E-commerce Risk: Campus Bestie acts as a marketplace and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items sold by student users. Users assume all risk associated with student-to-student transactions.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
